Database Management

Enterprise Information Solutions, Inc. (EnterInfo) maintains, supports, configures and develops the Traffic Monitoring System (TMS) database for the Maryland State Highway Administrator (SHA). TMS database is ORACLE based storing over 300GB of the traffic data generated by a variety of the electronic devices such as monitoring sensors, cameras, signals, and hardwired panels. For this project, EnterInfo performs hardware configuration management, operating system installation, software installation, Visual Basic, Power Builder, Java Script and ORACLE Designer programming, Informix to ORACLE conversion, WEB site development, strategic planning, training and support. The TMS Intranet application is developed using VB, ORACLE Designer and Power Builder. Its WEB interface is implemented using VB, Java script and ASP. The TMS was originally an Informix database and has been converted to ORACLE. Many of the applications are being converted from PB to VB. EnterInfo provides routine trainings to the SHA trainers and the end users of various SHA departments.
