NOAA Cartographic GIS

EnterInfo provided on-site and off-site cartographic services applying source updates to the raster, ENC, Amoeba, and NCSII charts. The on-site services are performed at the NOAA MCD in Silver Spring. EnterInfo’s production team follows the same MCD procedure/standards and uses MCD specified applications include ArcGIS, Ameoba, Lamps, and dKarts to perform source update maintenance work. The off-site team, performed services from the EnterInfo Columbia office, applied source to the ENC cells and submitted completed work through the MCD certified network back to NOAA for acceptance. The project requires source information which resides in the DREG database to be applied to the Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC). EnterInfo performed all of the services related to applying source information onto the charts, ENC cells and database. ESRI ArcGIS, LaserScan LAMPS, MicroStation, and IRAS are used to create and update the charts and dKart is used to perform the validation. The EnterInfo team members function as an extension of the MCD Division to safeguard the last production line of chart production operation. All of the project requirements have been successfully completed on schedule and within budget.
CHART Web GIS

Enterprise Information Solutions, Inc (EnterInfo) provided comprehensive IT and GIS services to the Coordinated Highway Action Response Team (CHART) center. EnterInfo’s responsibility was to develop an Intranet and Internet interface allowing Maryland State Highway Administration Emergency Operation Reporting System (EORS) personnel to access emergency operation information in real-time. The solution uses ESRI’s ArcIMS Objects to allow users to control the display and overlay of various GIS layers, sensor data, camera images, and dynamic message board displays. A partial list of the available information layers includes the highway base map, snow emergency plan status, construction and weather related road closures, and real-time road condition sensor information.
EnterInfo has worked closely with the CHART team to provide innovative functions to this award-winning project. CHART inspectors can wirelessly transmit road conditions using a voice assisted command interface to produce an updated road WEB map in real-time. Services provided include:
■ System and Web Site Design
■ GIS Data Model Construction
■ GIS Web Server Application Development
■ GIS Web GUI Development
■ Systems Integration and Testing
■ Real-time GPS Vehicle Locating
■ Voice Assisted Road Condition Reporting
■ Wireless Real-time Data Transmission
